Making sure your artwork is in the right format for printing is super important to get the results you want in your final product!

Just a heads up, our print pricing is specifically for “Press Ready” PDF file, outlined below. If you have other file types like JPG, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or Word Documents that don’t quite meet our specs, there might be some additional charges.

“Press Ready” file must be in PDF format and meet the flowing specifications:

SIZE

Your artwork should be supplied 1-up on the correct size artboard, and the trim size should match the order. For books/booklets, if you have a multi-page file, please supply 1 page per view (not spreads!).

BLEED & CROPS

Always include crop marks! Offset and digital jobs use a 3mm bleed, while wide format jobs and saddle-stitched booklets use a 5mm bleed.

COLOURS

DIGITAL Print:
Please convert all colours to CMYK. We DON’T match to HEX, RGB, or HSL colors.

OFFSET Print:
We print almost everything in CMYK, unless you require the use of PMS or Spot colours in your artwork.
Ink coverage should not exceed 300% (260% for uncoated stocks).
For rich black, we suggest Black 100%, Cyan 40%, Magenta 0%, Yellow 0%.
Text should be 100% Black; if you need to set up gray text, use a percentage of black only.
Please make sure that overprint settings are set correctly. If you are unsure, leave it for us to fix it.

IMAGES

Images and graphics should have a resolution of  300 dots per inch (DPI). Low-resolution images may appear pixelated or blurry when printed.

FONTS

Convert to outlines or embed them.

EMBELLISHMENTS

Scodix or Metal should be supplied as a spot color and on a separate page in the PDF.

DIELINES

Any dielines, fold or perforation lines should be set as a spot colour and set to overprint.

BORDERS

We prefer art without borders, but if you need to include them, ensure there are no borders closer than 6mm to the trim line.

CANVA

If you use Canva to set up the art file please make sure to save it as “PDF Print” with crop marks & bleed.
