Terms and Conditions

Quoting:

Our quotes include both printing and artwork costs (if we have been made aware the customer requires changes). This makes the quoting process straightforward and hassle-free for our customers. Given the wide variety of printing methods we employ—such as offset, large format, and digital printing—this all-inclusive approach ensures transparency and simplicity.

 

Artwork Specifications/Proofing:

We require high resolution pdf files with 3mm bleed and trim marks for print.

We do not check trapping, layout, text (including dates, numbers etc..) or colour. However we do check for bleed, trims and resolution, although some low resolution images could pass through unchecked by our pre-press software.

Electronic PDF proofs are emailed to customer for approval. Once approved the job will be passed to production and Fine Print Australia Pty Ltd wont be held liable for any errors/omissions made by the customer. Uncommon bleed may require shrinking the design by 2-3%. Hard copy (printed) proofs will attract a fee and so will additional artwork. Please enquire.

Artwork can be emailed to [email protected] if the file is under 10mb. Or you can send us a Dropbox or Wetransfer link, or easily upload your file via our secure website link. Simply click on the Upload File Here button, follow the instructions, and your files will be securely transferred to our team.

 

Colour:

Art should be supplied in either CMYK format or with the PMS colours specified for spot colour jobs. RGB is not acceptable and must be converted to CMYK. If a file is supplied in RGB we can convert it to CMYK however please note colours may change during conversion. If your job is colour critical we can provide a digital hard-copy proof or an epson proof. These will be at an additional cost.

 

Fonts:

If using Illustrator, fonts should be converted to outline or curves, otherwise all fonts should be packaged and sent via email.

 

Forme Cutting:

We have a variety of cutting formes available in house, but where a special shape is required a forme cost will apply. Prices may vary depending upon the complexity of the forme.

 

Lead Time:

Lead times can vary based on quantity, printing process and work flow. If you have a deadline we need to be made aware of kindly advise at time of quoting. For larger orders or where special processes are required the lead time will be by agreement.

 

Purchase Orders:

Official purchase orders are required before production commences. Purchase orders should be on company letterhead and should specify the quantity, description of the goods, delivery date and address and any special colours.

Invoicing:

No invoices are sent with the goods unless specifically requested by the customer. Fine Print Australia will despatch all cartons with our label (our logo and contact details) unless blind shipping has been specified in writing by the customer. In this case, the customer needs to supply their labels via email.

Payment Terms:

Payments need to be made in full prior to commencing any work unless you have a standing credit arrangement with Fine Print Australia. Payment terms can be established on receipt and approval of a credit application form after we have dealt with customers on at least three occasions prior. Payments for account customers are due in full on or before the due date. Invoices outstanding over 45 days will be classified as overdue. Invoices outstanding over 60 days will be classified as long overdue and could be forwarded to a credit agency for collection. Any fees/charges arising from this exercise will be the sole responsibility of the customer. Payments for subsequent orders will require full settlement of the outstanding account before shipment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and AMEX (fee applies) for payment of invoices. EFT payments must be supported by emailing payment receipt in order to commence / release the job.

 

Delivery:

All prices are based on pick-up from our warehouse unless quoted otherwise. We offer freight Australia-wide and delivery suburb/postcode must be supplied for accurate delivery charges to be determined.

 

Overs and unders:

We aim to produce the exact order quantity but reserve the right to overship or undership by 5%.

 

Reorders:

Previous work is held on file. Set up charges will not apply for exact reorders.

 

Samples:

If you require samples, please contact us, and we’ll happily post them free of charge.

 

Claims:

Any complaint must be made in writing with 10 days of receipt of the goods. Returned goods will not be accepted without a (RGA) Returned Goods Authority.

 

Liability:

Fine Print Australia shall not be liable for any direct or consequential loss, or for the loss to a customer arising from third party claims occasioned by errors in carrying out the work, or by delay in delivery. No warranty shall be given, or responsibility accepted, by tFine Print Australia to ensure that the goods produced comply with the requirements of any legislation relating to the marking and/or packaging of goods. Compliance with the requirements of any such legislation shall be the sole responsibility of the customer.

 

Copyright:

The customer agrees to accept any liability resulting from actions or demands brought against Fine Print Australia for copyright infringement for all orders printed to the customer’s specifications.

By trading with Fine Print Australia, the customer consents and grants permission for photos of their printed and/or electronic material and finished product/s to be used from time to time on our website, social media platforms and electronic mail outs for the purpose of, but not limited to, advertising the suppliers printing processes involved, showcasing the product, using the product to represent the suppliers printing capabilities as well as basic advertising. This permission is considered to be ongoing unless the customer advises otherwise. If the customer does not consent to this, Fine Print Australia must be notified in writing. Once we receive this notice, the image will be removed within 5 business days.
